In English usually the infinitive is used with or without preposition to. Other prepositions use the gerund or an participle. To read on more on the subject you could check here. In German the infinitve can be used also with other prepositions. Following now examples of German infinitives after different prepositions. We have already seen the very often used preposition zu (mostly to be translated with to). But as you will see there are other possibilities as well.
