  19.3.4 Compound tenses of the conjunctive


The conjunctive I as well as the conjunctive II have two forms the simple form and two compound (as also the indicative has).

The forms of conjunctive I are used exclusively in the context of reported speech, about which we are going to speak in just a few moments. The conjunctive II are used exclusively in the context of conditional phrases.
