As in several cases before the declension of zwei and drei is a bit complicated. Just don't shoot the messenger if you don't like the message!
zwei and drei
are declined in two forms: Genitiv
and Dativ, but not in Akkusativ
 |
In genitive it is always declined, be it used as an adjective or be it used as a noun. |

With all the other numbers it is not even possible to form a genitive anymore, or better: With the other numbers different from eins, zwei and drei the genitive is formed with the preposition von.
